For normal health maintenance, a small glass, 3/4 to 1 cup daily, preferably after the evening meal, is a common prevention drink.
Kefir is not only special nourishment, but also can be used as a special medication.
If kefir drinking is intended for treating serious diseases, it is advisable to first detoxify and cleanse the body, bowels, liver and kidney, then change diet to more living foods (kefir is a super living food with loads of vitamins, minerals, enzymes and friendly microbes).
This greatly increases effects of healing properties of kefir. Indeed, it greatly enhances the body's healing capacity.
The table below indicates suggested doses indicated for some conditions (please note that these are only suggestions and the author has not personally verify them ) :
Nervousness 1 liter daily
Ulcers 1 liter daily (they disappear after 2 months)
Asthma 1 liter daily (during a longer time)
Bronchial Catarrh 1 liter daily
Anemia / Leukemia 1 to 2 liters daily (check blood test values after 2 months)
Sclerosis 1 liter daily
Dermatitis / Eczemas /
Skin Allergies 1/2 liter daily + local application over affected
skin letting it dry. Wash hands and face
(after 2 to 4 weeks allergy disappears)
Cystitis 1 liter daily
Kidney Problems 1 liter daily
Gall Bladder Disorders 1 liter daily
To regulate Blood Pressure 1/2 liter daily
For candida overgrowth or general disorders of colon, take 1 cup first thing on the morning and 1 cup one hour after supper for 3 days, then for 3 days take no kefir. Apply this on and off regime for 3-4 weeks. If no relief was obtained, you may gradually double dosage and continue for 3 months or more.
The same on and off regime applies to eczema, skin problems, acne, allergies, arthritis and so on. When chronically ill with a serious disease, again, the same regime applies. Start with 1 cup first thing on the morning and 1 cup one hour after supper.
Within a week, gradually increase to 2 cups & 2 cups per day. At this time you may experience body rash or shingles, however, gradually increase to 3 cups & 3 cups per day and continue for at least 6 months. If wasting continues, gradually increase to 4 cups & 4 cups per day for 20 days then do not drink kefir for 10 days. Then drink 20 days.
Apply this potent on/off regime for the next months. Although there are many documented studies that kefir is able to miraculously heal even gravely ill, kefir is a gift of God, it is not God.

My 17 year old son, after starting to consume kefir, has seen an improvement in his sinus problem. He started drinking a glass a day and under these hot weather of late in Malaysia, he has lately been consuming between 2 to 3 glasses a day.
Initially, I noticed that some mornings, he had sinus and some mornings, he did not. A few mornings when I saw him having his sinus, I asked him if he drank any kefir the day before and he said no. This lead me to believe that drinking kefir has made the difference.
I also noticed that his wind problem (bloated stomach) has improved as well after consuming kefir.
